When you work with multiple properties, multiple tenants and multiple projects you are going to have problems arise. Then I often have been known to not think things through. I say I’m a doer not a planner. But I often find myself saying “Well that certainly didn’t go l like I’d planned.” Lucky for me it’s easy to find the humor on things since I’m hilarious. It also helps that I screw things up a lot so I get lots of practice. I also usually take pics of such things. Enjoy.

“Hey Cole, Do you think we have a foundation issue?” “No I don’t. I think the mortar in the bricks may have cracked some but structurally I think we are solid. But let’s go check it out.”

Brenna “Do you think it’s okay to empty the pool completely? Me-Of course it is. What is it going to do blow away during winter? Brenna- Well it could in the spring. Me-It will be fine. You worry to much.

“So how is the latest renovation going? Will it be a quick turnaround? Or will there be some major work that needs to be done?” Me- the place is solid and it will be a relatively quick turn around. You know in the grand scheme of things. We just need to knock some cobwebs off the place and give it a little spit shine.

This next one really tells its own story. On a side note though Grinders Pizza is the best pizza west of the Mississippi. Probably to the East as well, but that might cause online outrage in NYC and Kansas is fighting enough with the New Yorkers already. Second, this turned out pretty well in the end. I also highly Recommend having a chain saw on a pole.

Probably catching on to a common theme here. I have great ideas, that sometimes don’t go according to plan. You have to be dynamic in this changing world though. Improvise, overcome, adapt!! You also have to take some risks in life. I bet no one has ever been on their death bed and said, “You know I really should have been more cautious with that pressure washer and used it responsibly at all times.”

Fun part is that she hasn’t seen this yet and won’t know where it’s located. She will be searching soon and she will find it. She will be irritated. But that will subside. However my mark will live on!!!

Then every once in a while things go off plan but it turns out good anyway. I brought an old church pew home a while back with plans of making home schooling jokes for weeks. Instead the home school jokes ended quickly and I had instructions to make the pew beautiful. Turns out, I did all right. Except there is no place for it to go. Probably will require a bigger house. Well that certainly didn’t go like I had planned.
