Sometimes Brenna feels that my version of events isn’t exactly correct or leaves out parts that might change the context of what happened. So in the spirit of fairness, we will both give our version of events and you can decide for yourself.

We went on another hike. Straight up the mountain in chilly weather. The view was all right. I’m sure she would tell you that it was just great and everyone had a wonderful time but she was unable to say much because she was out of breath. As for me, I could think of several activities, other than hiking. I have also used several more effective ways to reach a mountain top. I will list them and why they are better.

1. Driving- you’re not cold, wet or muddy. 2. Train- usually served lunch 3. Ski lift- fun if you enjoy skiing or not. 4. Hitchhiking- while it should be used with caution, you do meet some really fascinating people. That could be an entire post itself.

Enjoying the outdoors but much too out of breath to give her account.

Visiting the Hot Springs of Arkansas: We all walked 56 miles through crowded streets to find a hole in the ground with hot water. Seriously that’s it. We all did it, she concurs.

The drive home. Pt 1-The roads are crooked and steep. The sign said so. It seems that every little mountain town has 6 churches, 3 auto body shops, 2 quilting or sewing stores and at least 1 antique store called Mountain treasures or mountain view flea market. I did see a strangely modified school bus and a blue Sonic. Both required pictures to be fully appreciated.

Accurate depiction of events.

Now Brenna can give her version of the ride home.

I’m hilarious not stupid.

The ride home: Pt 2- I had figured this would be time for all of us to talk about the things we did and saw on our trip. Call it an individual highlight reel where everyone discussed what was their favorite part. But actually it was a time of naps and playing on one’s phone. At least for the others. It was a time of driving for me. Lonely driving without conversation. Just me and the road. But I’m glad that the others got to rest up after a busy weekend, a long hike and riding in the car before they had to go back to school and work on Monday, of next week, after spring break. Well at least I didn’t have to work today. Well no work other then my two jobs. #soblessed

I was going to let Brenna give her version this morning but she was sleepy. And when I got home this afternoon she was rescuing some plants from Wal-Mart. So maybe next time.

Thank goodness she got to those plants before it was too late.
